Ohio State sucks!

As the daughter of a US Navy SEAL, I was raised to respect our military and therefore always cheer on the Academies in football. BUT...not today...not today. Time to get our Game Face on: GO BLUE!

It's 2012, and we're suffering through TV transmission issues?

How did af end up in a 1st and 15? Damn espn, they could have at least done a verbal play by play so we would have known what was going on

CaliGirl, that's very impressive. Big props to your father.

Rigby/Every... No f*ing kidding! WTF?! Game came back and I had no idea what happened. I can only assume Gardner's catch was overruled? Terrible.

Ok, exhaling now...

Gardners catch had to be overturned. I got a pretty good look before the picture went off and I'm pretty sure it was no good. I assume we punted then but I'm not sure how we got them into a 1st and 15? False start maybe? Idk. Guess I will have to call someone who was actually there.

The flyover was very cool. Intimidating when the other team has a stealth bomber

Denard getting loose, difficult to contain! Love it! Actually didn't get to see much of this at work due to, first of all, work... and then, at other times, due to certain people just should not be given the remote, who cares what other games are on. Go Blue! I hate working Saturdays! Maybe it's a good thing I am losing this job!!

SiC, thankfully we have Stealth QB. Oohh, I smell tweet...

I knew denard was gone when he cut left on the first long run. I doubt many teams in cf have anyone with the speed to catch him in a foot race and I know af doesn't. Still a really great effort by those guys though, they left it all on the field and if it wasn't for the difference in the quality of athletes between the schools they may very well have won that game. Even as bad as they torched our d for most of the game if this was still a RR coached team we would have gotten killed. Still a lot of work for hoke to do but still a definite improvement. This team performed and the D stopped them when it mattered.

Congrats. There for a while I thought I might get another healing pic. Air Force kinda did what I thought they would.

I still think your Defense is not what some think it is. I think it will get better, but I think the biggest problem is your upper upperclassmen are from the RR years and your depth and talent is what it is. Though they did stop AFA from getting points on the board at times and got the stop they needed at the end.

It will be interesting to see what you do against ND. I think UMASS isn't much of a threat, they got blown out by Indiana.

Our game was closer than I would have liked. I had thought a score along the lines of 41-13, so just like you guys, I thought the good guys would score a bit more and hold the bad guys down a little more. This time of year is always so hard, because you don't really have enough data to make a good judgment.

Again, congrats and thanks for doing for the B1G what PSU, WISC Purdue and Iowa, couldn't do. I'm worried that list might get longer tonight.

Does Mattison have a lotta work to do? Yeah. You could see that Saturday as they rotated a lotta younger players in at LB & DL. But I wouldn’t read too much into Saturday’s defensive stats. The triple option makes a lotta teams look bad.
I recall Navy coming to Columbus in 2009. It took a last play “pick 2” for tsio to finalize a 31-27 win (Navy scored to make it 29-27 tsio, & tsio ran back the pass for a 2 pt conversion to end the game).
Tsio’s defense finished fifth in the country for total D that year.

is it just me in TV land or was it just band/no RAWK music?

There wasn't too much piped-in music at the stadium yesterday. That was an improvement. On the downside, the awesome "This is Michigan" intros from last year didn't return.

SiC,

We actually opened that season with Navy and failed to be prepared, so you make a valid point there. And some of what I saw was the same kind of issues we had, gap assignements and over aggression, but some of it looked to be more fundamental issues. But, it is hard to tell based on the evidence so far.

And I think Hoke's staff will get them coached up, and they will get better as the season progresses. I just don't think you have the leadership on defense you had last season. And, in fairness, I am concerned about our defense and lack of pressure I saw on Saturday. So please don't think I am coming here with the attitude Michigan awful, OSU greatest thing ever. If we played this week, in my mind, it is a high scoring toss up. I would likely give you the edge because of Denard.

Oh, that year we struggled with Navy, we later lost to Purdue. ;) What I saw of their game, their D looks pretty good, especially those ends. It is their offense that needs work, which just seems slightly Bizarro World.
