Going Rice

We interrupt our regularly scheduled college football blog for some basketball-related news:

Last week we Tweeted about the allegation in a new book that former Michigan basketball star Glen Rice hooked up with former Alaska governor Sarah Palin in 1987 when Rice was in college and Palin was a fresh-out-of-college TV reporter.  The one-nighter allegedly happened when the Wolverines were in town for the Great Alaska Shootout and Palin was working for KTUU.

As you can tell by the picture above, Palin was no mamma grizzly when she went rogue with Rice.  It was during her frizzy-haired young cub days.  However, less than a year after the rumored fling, Palin married her husband, Todd, thus disproving the old adage that once you go black you never go back.

But why bring up this story a week after it broke?  Well, we had too much post-ND news to get to it last week and, more importantly, we just stumbled across these pictures of Rice's ex-wife, Christy.

I can envision the porn movie title already;

'Nailin' Palin 2: White on Rice'

As for the claim itself, until the Taiwanese news animators cover it, I'm calling BS on McGinniss's claims.

@#$#$% Michigan.

Now that the pleasantries are disposed of, does he have a Buckstache?

Secondly, is this a healing pic after a win?

Hoping two yards and a cloud of dust could win last week.

No one, Nice. I am always amazed that people will come here and talk trash. I suppose your ananomity brings you some comfort, but it doesn't take away from the fact that you are a total ass.

Thanks to no one, it is confirmed again that certain tosu fans are a$$hats. Maybe I should not assume he/she is a tosu fan but the @#$#$% Michigan is kind of the giveaway here. Also, I see no mention of a healing pic or reference to a win in football. This is simply excellent investigation of an event currently in the news to broaden our perspective.

is it me or do the head shots of both girls look an awful lot alike?

right down to the hair styles?

You spelled %&@! Michigan wrong. Instead you said Hail Michigan, in which case thank you....

Why would we need a healing pic? Last I checked this was a Michigan blog and we won.

From now on I will send all of my rants and frustrations resulting from tosu a$$hattedness to no one in particular and leave it up to the reader to figure out who I may be talking about.

FWIW, I thought Yost was maybe secretly giving us a healing pic after the Miami debacle. Conference loyalty and all that.

I'm starting to wonder if we forgot to practice passing during the last few weeks. I also was wondering if they thought they were playing touch football early on. I will take them as healing pics, even if they weren't intended that way.

As for no one, not sure if he is one of ours or not. Usually you don't see @#$#$% Michigan and Buckstache in the same post. Sparty or ND fan, perhaps?

I'm with Dennis on that one. Smells of Sparty. By the way, did anyone go get the little bastard off that ledge? (sigh) Little Brothers!

SiC, I agree about the similar look.

Dennis, since Ex went AWOL, I nominate you to do our Know Thy Enemy weekly Buckeye post. All in favor? Aye.

That would imply I knew my team and after Saturday, I'm not sure.

My wife and I both like Luke, Shari knew him from some charity stuff he did when they were students. And no, he didn't get $300 or $300 in gifts or whatever. At least not from the organization Shari worked with. I was more worried before the season started that the stench of what happened would taint him. He is dogged and a self starter, but he just seems out of his depth. I wonder how much he is hindered by the Interim tag.

This reminds of TP's first season and Troy Smith's as well and that ended up fairly well (scandal aside) in later seasons, so I am not in a blind panic. I just expected more of a fight, even if I was leaning towards a loss, on Saturday.
