Our friend and Horns fan Rodger sent us
this link about the "Quidditich craze" sweeping college campuses. For those of you not familiar with it, Quidditich is a game based on the Harry Potter books and movies.
Judging by the pictures in the SI story linked above, the game involves placing a broomstick in innuendo-inducing places and grabbing it in ways that make it really hard not to laugh at the people playing.

| People play this on purpose? |
 |
There's simply no way to look cool
grabbing your pole like this |
 |
| Hey, there's a big red thing coming out of your ass |
 |
| WTF? |
 |
| Okay, maybe I'm being too harsh |
 |
Does a stick shooting out of one's ass mean you're
winning or losing? Does it matter? |

Wow. So do these people that play this get lumped in with the Dungeons and Dragons or World of Warcraft dorks, too? The only thing worse than being a Harry Potter nut is being a Harry Potter nut who's older than 12.
re-fuck-tarded
Watched the Daily Show from the other night where HP was on there and they showed him this and he was even like WTF. How pathetic do you need to be to be able to play this and not just fall down weeping in tears during the middle of it because your life is horrible? Also did you see that the snitch is just some kid who runs around and they have to tackle him? How is that nice?
my daughter is a frosh at UC. she did not participate in the events, but tells me all the frats & sororities do (friend of mine's son broke his collar bone playing).
the daughter tells me that it is an outstanding excuse for drinking & actually draws a fair crowd to watch the games (since drinking is a big part of being a spectator).
i quit asking questions at that point- somethings best not to know. sigh.
This is better than some of the activities out there...

Only good if the sororities used those old vibrating brooms that they took off the market!
