M Go Marriage: Brian at MGoBlog tying the knot

As you may know, Brian Cook, the proprietor of MGoBlog, is getting married this weekend.  Now, according to his post on the subject, the nuptials are taking place at a "top secret location."

But not that secret since yours truly is one of the groomsmen.

So here's a pic of Brian, me and the guys after we tried on our tuxes:

Yeah, I know - I was surprised as well that Brian asked Carr to be a groomsman.  But apparently Carr throws a hell of a bachelor party so he made the cut.  And we tried to tell Harmon to take off the darn helmet, but I guess it was to cover up his ginormous head.  Look at the size of that thing!

Should be an incredible evening.  Lots of great Meeeechigan folks are coming, although Jim Harbaugh and Les Miles sent their regrets (and rumor has it Rich Rodriguez is gonna try to photo-bomb the reception so Bri had to hire security.  How sad).

Tom and I chipped in and hired a killer band for the evening.  Here's a little clip of the last wedding they did:

Most beautiful thing you've ever seen, right?  Now that's how you get a dude choked up at a wedding.  I can barely type now.

Okay, all joking aside, congrats Brian.  From Andy, me and the rest of the MZone staff (and by "rest," I mean Andy and me each counted twice) best of luck to you and your bride-to-be.

And if you could just send us a copy of the wedding video, I promise you a special MZone UFR that you'll never forget!

It is not very often I laugh at one of my own photo-chops in the hours after I send it over to Yost.

Now that I look at it, I guess Harmon's head is a little over-sized.... I did not want the winged helmet to get lost in the overall awesomeness of this image.

Congrats to Brian and his Bride.

After twenty years of marriage, I can only tell you (Brian) one thing: the most important four words you can say... Yes, you are right.

I also think it is important to note that Denard's inclusion in the M-Go-Wedding does not constitute extra or improper benefits.

We checked with the Michigan Secretary of State (our version of the Bureau of Motor Vehicles) and they said everything was kosher.

I'll say what I tell everyone about to get married. Dude don't do it.

Afterwards it's nothing but congrats but beforehand, dude don't do it.

We did not have the Michigan band at my son and daugher in law's wedding but the bridal party was introduced with the victors playing in the background. It was timed so that the rest of the bridal party was introduced and they came in right when the chorus started. It was great.

Congrats to B & B (Brian and Bride for any tosu visitors reading this). By the time there are some new little wolverines as a result of this, Yost and Andy will be able to send over bib with a picture of the new mascot on it as a gift.

I'm one of the Fanfare Band members in this video. I fondly remember that night, trekking at night through the student neighborhoods from Revelli Hall to the Union in 10-degree weather and about 6 inches of snow then hiding in a coat closet while we waited for the reception to start while conversing with a rather drunk member of the wedding party who was a Georgia Tech alum. The bride and groom were both former athletes (he played baseball, I think she was a rower?) and their friends/family had hired the band to play at the reception as a surprise gift to them, hence the hiding. Good times.

Please say your first dance will be to a Josh Groban song. Congrats!

Yost - just some rules to remember.

Rule #1 - Never leave a fellow Crasher behind. Crashers take care of their own.
Rule #2 - Never use your real name.
Rule #3 - Like TP and Tressel, never confess.
Rule #4 - No one goes home alone.
Rule #5 - Never let a girl get between you and a fellow Crasher.
Rule #6 - If you see any tUOS fans at the wedding, punch their lights out.
Rule #7 - Blend in by standing out.
Rule #8 - Be the life of the party. Being that you run the MZone, you are already the life of the party.
Rule #9 - Whatever it takes to get in, get in.
Rule #10 - Invitations are for pussies.
Rule #11 - When it stops being fun, break something.
Rule #13 - Bridesmaids are desperate - console them.
Rule #14 - You're a distant relative of a dead cousin.
Rule #15 - Fight the urge to tell the truth. Be just like a tUOS coach.
Rule #16 - You love animals and children and Wolverines.
