what an amazing off season.
And now for the potentially bad news: Urban Meyer has purchased a home in the Columbus area.
Don't you mean "cue" the Munchkins (to sing)? Or do you wish them to line up?
Jim
Both.
Good catch. I will fix it. I was delirious with joy this morning.
If Urban Meyer takes that job now, before the NCAA has laid out the punishment, he is a bigger fool than Jim Tressel was in April of 2010.
And to think that our good friend and buddy, Terrelle Pryor is to thank for all this. Their fans have to just LOVE him.
"Luke Fickell will serve as the interim coach and a full search will begin after the season." This gives Urban Meyer time to evaluate sanctions from the NCAA while he moves to C-bus and drools at the idea of coaching at tOSU.
Recent experience has taught me (cough.... Jim Harbaugh... cough x2 Les Miles) that drooling over a potential new coach and his "supposed" dream job is not a great idea.
I think I can speak for both myself and Andy in saying it's great to be a Michigan blogger today!
Urban Meyer? I spent the last 3 years listening to tosu fans tell me: "the spread won't work in the Big Ten".
If nothing else, it'll be fun to listen to them change their tune.
those who stay will be investigated.
I'm dying laughing at the comments on ESPN:
He may not coach again but at least Tressel can walk right into a Bob Evans managers position without buying a new wardrobe.
Urban Meyer won't take the job now. And even if he does, they will be watching him closely. If he can't cheat his effectiveness will be diminished greatly.
when you think about how his behavior (the cars & the tats, along w/ everything else) is at the middle of this mess, you have to stop & reflect how very differently the last 3 years might have gone, for both programs, had T Pryor said "the University of Michigan", instead of "the University of Ohio State" at that press conference back in 2008?
Dispatch is now reporting that TP is the focus of a new, major NCAA investigation, involving cars & cash.

that would explain why they flew Sweaterboy home last night to can his ass before this all broke the news today.
Pacman - did you hear that from the same source that swears John Gruden's wife was house-hunting in Ann Arbor last December?
Shouldn't the Auburn staff be a little nervous at this point?
James - Apparently you have better sources than I do. I never heard the rumor about Gruden. I think you should run hard with that one.
