OUCH.
As the 51st Mississippi State point was rolling up on the television crawl (I had long before turned the channel because couldn't take it) -- I decided it was time to bring out the mega-healing post.

The only thing that is going to make me feel better after this curb-stomping is the press conference later this week by Dave Brandon to announce he has completed the annual evaluation of the football program and has decided to go in another direction.
Discuss.
UPDATE: MZone reader Crock suggested one more healing pic...

On Wisconsin!
did ya forget your female fans?
as if today hasn't been rough enough :(
That is not an outie. That is a belly button ornament.
Welcome home Jimmy Harbaugh!
scott
Siiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiigh!!!!
My healing will come when Harbaugh(I hope) is standing at the podium accepting the job.
McGloin is a turnover machine
way to go big ten :(
I look forward to the day when I don't turn off the tv and search other forms of entertainment on the internet that bring me satisfaction during a Michigan football game.
Thank you for the healing post, pic#2 saved to desktop.
Guys, I'm at the game and it was thrilling to the very end! We beat Penn State!! Ummm, we were playing in Tampa at the Outback Bowl right? (i drank quite a bit last night)
for what it's worth, sportsbybrooks tweeted that he was told that richrod contacted maryland this week but was told that the job is leach's. apparently he knows he's gone as well.
Let's heal it for the ladies up as well....
Of course he is gone. No question about it. You could tell by his body language all day long.
If there is any hesitation or by some strange miracle he returns -- I am going to take the next season or two off. I can't stand watching our once proud program get embarrassed anymore.
If it is Harbaugh, expect hesitation at least until Tuesday.
Can you imagine what would happen to the next coach if it's NOT Harbaugh?? Coming in to a ton of disappointed fans. Similar to Golden going to Miami after all the Gruden rumors.
I have a feeling of two things:
1. Rich Rod is probably gone. After both the embarassment in Columbus and now this, he has to be gone. The defense couldn't stop Hans Moleman. If he's not gone there are going to be some wholesale changes...the Defensive staff will definately be gone.
2. If Rich Rod is gone....I just have this suspicion that our new coach isn't going to be Harbaugh.
He's gone. I'm in favor of Harbaugh, but something is telling me Brady Hoke.
It was reported Miss. St. all had the flu. I would have hated to go up against them when they were feeling well. I hope Harbaugh is the new hire. If he doesn't come, then somewhere along the line he and Michigan had a falling out.
If Jim ("you will never step foot on a Michigan football field again")Harbaugh doesn't become the HC of Michigan football by Thursday of this week, I will assume that DB has failed his first big test as AD. Having said that; as long as RR is headed for parts unknown I will at least have hope that Michigan football will be on the way back. And for the haters let me just say - by back I mean; respected, respectful, fundamentally sound, competitive, confident and proud and yes MGO all innies capable of losing at least one important should have won it game a year, because you see that would mean that at least the team was in a position to have a "meaningful" game.
Finally thanks for the healing, but for an old school guy like me, maybe a Maize and Blue walker with a cupholder or something along those lines. Not complaining, just saying.
TCU wins the cool bowl game unis award.
Now, ON WISCONSIN!
TCU completes the BIG TEN New Years Day massacre of 2011. Sigh.
Couldn't happen to a better guy Bielema. Karma sucks
So, the Big Ten is 0 for 5 on 1 January 2011. I forget, were these teams the Leaders or the Legends?
I concur if he stays I will not support the team next year. Idc who the coach is but the entire staff there now must go immediately. I don't even care if it's harbaugh it could be someone I've never heard of and I'd be happy.
Detroit News is reporting "Denard Robinson won't say he'll return to U-M if Rich Rodriguez is fired"
FML
If denard leaves then good riddance. Michigan is not about a coach. I'm sick of all of this shit. I'd almost rather they hire some nobody coach who comes in and rewashes the slate. Back to simple fundamental football. I wouldn't even care if they sucked if they were at least lpooking like they're trying.
If RR goes, he's got no one to blame, but I'd rather see one more year with another DC. I'm not sure I could stomach Harbaugh after his comments.
In fact, if RR goes I think it's more likely that we dip into an even darker period. Harbaugh will likely have better options at Stanford or the pros...then what?
If RR goes and we could have anyone? I think I'd rather have Peterson or Patterson.
Pony up the dough and you can have whomever you want.
LOL. wv = noneso.
Let me get this straight, Bigasshammm, no player or coach is bigger than the program but you will no longer support UM if they keep a coach you don't like? Reeeeealllly?
I'm now fine with trying something else. Not only because of the suck on the field but this specualting and postulating has been wearing on me. i just want it to be over.
