Stanford wants to sweeten Harbaugh deal before its too late
With Jim Harbaugh's name sure to surface for just about every high-profile coaching job in college and the NFL after leading Stanford from 1-11 before he took over to 11-1 and a BCS bowl, Stanford's AD has made a pre-emptive bid to sweeten his contract.
AD Bobby Bowlsby said Sunday, "We have a proposal in front of Jim and he's indicated he plans to accept it. He's got this year and four more on his contract. I expect that he will be our coach in the foreseeable future."

I am simply a product of my environment.
"kill me now" and "FML" are uttered quite frequently under my 17 year old daughters breath in response to just about everything. I decided to go with the less violent and permanent of my choices.

I heard from a guy who claims to be a good friend of the Harbaugh family that Dave Brandon has already made Jim an offer through his agent. If Harbaugh turns down the Michigan offer, Rich Rod stays. No public coaching search will happen before next season. If Harbaugh says no, the offer will never be made public.
