ED. NOTE: In case you hadn't heard.

but, but, you can't win in the Big Ten w/ a spread offense...

I think Andy was strictly going for the funny, SiC.

Uh...right, Andy?

You ever notice how the SEC can't make it to the big time without coaches from the Big Ten, et al?

Andy said...

Yes, I was looking for the funny. Nothing that amazingly good could ever happen to us...

I was actually daydreaming of the opposite.

What Florida needs is a spread guru to revitalize their offense.

I know just the fellow.

i sorta caught that. i thought it was funny on two levels. one, that Meyer would leave UF for Michigan, and two, that after the mounds of comments of how a spread system "won't work" in the Big Ten, we'd go out and hire another spread coach.

i guess i was going for irony or satire.

I don't agree with the folks that say "The spread won't work in the B10" for one minute. It has worked for many teams and could work in Michigan.

The truth is: The spread won't work in the B10 when it is filled with butter-fingered smurfs and matched up with the worst defense in the history of college football.

Whetstone, I guess those SEC coaches you are referring to know that they have to move from the Big "10" to the best conference in the country if they want to win championships...

Personally I think Urbs is headed to the Denver Broncos as their new HC...

/singing/"Reunited and it feels so goooooooood...

J,

No, just the opposite. The SEC knows that if they want to win championships, they have to pull out their wallets and troll outside their conference...for the best coaches.

It obviously works. I can't deny that. The irony intrigues me.

Good point J

If anyone's used to having Tebow as a salaried employee, it's Meyer

SiC,

I totally agree with you re: the complaint by some that the spread won't work in the B10. That was never nor is it my problem with RR.

See, SiC, just like Washington: compromise!

HAHAHA!! I know it's a joke, but this is the first thing I thought of when I saw he had resigned. It would be a sweet backup to Harbaugh falling through, though.

@J I think that actually is a good point that he could be headed to Denver.

Lloyd Carr is 3-0 vs Urban Meyer.
