MZone Pop Quiz: End of Game Strategy

We here at the MZone want to make sure that the college football fans who read this thrown together rag meticulously researched website are an informed bunch.  Well versed in the nuances of the game.

Thus, in an effort to further that noble endeavor, below is the first of an occasional new feature: the MZone Pop Quiz.  Read the question below and choose the best answer from the choices listed then explain your answer in the comments section.

And IU fans, please - keep your eyes on your own keyboard.

Les Miles' end-of-game clock management skills are worse than:

A. This surprised monkey

B. A zucchini

C. The corpse of Bea Arthur

D. None of the above

E. All of the above

I cautiously pick “E. all of the above.” Bea Arthur’s well known hatred of Betty White is much like Les Miles hatred of Derek Dooley and now Derek Dooley is also hated by most Vol fans (any one of whom could’ve out-coached Les last night). I like choice “A” also but that isn’t a surprised monkey, that’s JoePa after Iowa’s win. “B” is also correct because it’s well known in culinary circles that a zucchini’s time management is better than Les Miles. And similar to Les Miles, the zucchini is an immature fruit, being the swollen ovary of the female zucchini flower.

Yeah, I was kinda looking for the all of the above option myself. But, since we don't have that option....I must go with:

NOT C: I don't like picking on the dead, because they can't defend themselves.

NOT B: Zucchini is always getting an undeserved bad rap, so of all of the vegetables you could pick on, I really can't pick on Zucchini -- Brussle Sprouts, on the other hand....

A: By default, it has to be A. That monkey can at least dress itself, so there must be some level of intelligence. Now the sweater is Sparty "green and white", so it's not a high level of intelligence - but there is enough there to confidently pick A as my final answer in this quiz.

the guy learned clock management from Gary Moeller. what do you expect?

does this officially mean that we are no longer upset about NOT getting Les as the head coach?

and Shiano, Tedford, English, DeBord, and Hoke? and after last night's whooping, Harbaugh?

seriously? as bad as the last 2 seasons were, if we had to do it over again, would we really want any of the other candidates we passed/passed on us?

I am highly offended by the objectification of zucchinis

There is nothing better than sauteed zucchini.

I think we are also no longer upset about not getting Pryor either - WHEW!

Talk about a lesson on "careful what you wish for".

I would not go as far as saying I am glad we don't have Pryor...I am pretty sure we would still have a long bowl streak if he had decided to come to Michigan.

He may have looked bad on Saturday, but even when he looks bad, he is still very dangerous and they typically find a way to win the game.

Yeah, I have to agree with Andy. I don't think the last two years would have been as painful with Pryor. He's top notch.

That being said, Denard is special. And I can see him sticking around all four years whereas this might be Pryor's final season in C-bus.

If we had Pryor, Rich Rod wouldn't have had to go chasing after Tate and Denard, so we might not have either of those quarterbacks.
