Hopefully after defeating the invading hordes, we will be able to drive them back to East Lansing and plant that flag there....

We are packed up and will be leaving shortly for AA. I have a good feeling about today as I wake up this morning. 616 may stop by our tailgate for awhile and we have a significant number of additional attendees (including some spartys) and I just think it will be a great day. Of course it is always great to be a Michigan Wolverine. Go Blue!

I know he's just another highly recruited high school kid, but does anyone think the team will find a little inner confidence from Dee Hart's committment to Michigan after his HS game last night?

I mean, it was down to us or Bama.

Choosing a team that is coming off two consecutive losing seasons vs playing for one that is on it's way to potentially back to back National Championships.

The Great White Frozen North vs The Deep South.

Further from home vs closer to home.

Don't even get me started on comparing the women (no offense to any reading this).

Anywhere you want to go kid, and he picks Meeechigan - even before we get to the teeth of our conference schedule this year.

It says something about our kids, it says something about our program, and it says something about our coaches. Winners.

It is safe to come to Michigan again. The team is only getting better from here on out. There are only so many scholarships to give out each year - so to any other big named recruits that are still deciding - Dee says, "The water's fine in Ann Arbor, jump on in!"

Personally I am rooting for Mr. Robinson today.....Mr. GREG Robinson. No D? No W........

Later today we will facing two realities: One has us still unbeaten and bowl eligible - the other has us losing to Sparty for the third time in a row and the anti-RR-mob gaining steam.

I rewatched the 2009 game yesterday. We are soooooo much more advanced on offense this year than we were with Tate running around like a middle schooler.

I am praying the d can step up with stops and turnovers.

I have been adamantly against the 3-3-5 prevent defense. But the more I look at it, I think to myself, "Rich Rodriguez not only a brilliant offensive coach, but by insisting on this 3-3-5, he is brilliant on d as well".

D1 football is a big step up for any player, and most get the opportunity to practice for two full years before they ever see the field. We are not so fortunate.

Our kids may play the best prevent defense in the country, which is a perfect defense to do three things:

1. Slow the game speed down.
2. Teach basic fundementals of good coverage, tackling after the catch and tackling in space.
3. Builds confdence in the young players by successfully doing #1 & #2.

The 3-3-5 has set a foundation for these kids, and I believe it has done all of the above for them as they grow in their positions.

Yes we have been gashed deep a few times (ND) this year, but Cam Gordon has also contained well, layed the wood on some receivers across the middle, and leads the team in interceptions (2) and return yards after pick (35). I we played man coverage, I fear he would have been gashed considerably more often and perhaps lost his confidence by now. Same goes for the rest of them.

I think Rich knows his offense is unstoppable, and played the 3-3-5 because he could still win with it, and it gave his kids the most game speed playing time. It worked.

With Sparty, I think we'll see a consistent 4 man front - something they didn't see much film on, or prepare for. I don't expect perfection, but I do expect more pressure on Cousins and more errors on his part with more sacks, throwing the ball away, and maybe a pick or two.

All we need to do is make a few D stops - a few 3 & outs, or a single turnover we can capitalize on. We get up two scores and we never look back. But, we really only need one more score to win.

Sparty must play a perfect game at every position, on both sides of the ball to beat us today. Zero mistakes. That's not going to happen.

I could care less about the final score as long as we beat them, even by one thin point and get the W. My heart might not be able to take it again, but I am confident if we need to, we can make the one stop necessary to beat them.

I really wish this game started in 8 minutes instead of 3:08

Really wish Indiana would have shown up. Fear we may still be shitty.

I still hate 3:30 games. (Except next weeks cause that gives us time to tailgate with Bob!)

JT (not the Senator),

"Sparty must play a perfect game at every position, on both sides of the ball to beat us today."

Wow. You are definitely a glass half-full kind of guy. However, I think half-full or half-empty-- it's still Kool-Aid in that glass.

Just messin' with you.

I'm sure there's some good koolaid being drank at tailgates today.

Well, it's official: Ohio States second-string offence SUCKS! Dang, two turn-overs. The Senator ain't going to be happy.

It looks like we are the little brother now. As for recruiting, maybe the kids in state will pick the team that has the better looking uniforms. That will be our only hope.

But, the season is not over. Michigan can rebound.

can anyone help me out...I am stuck here in OH and can usually hear the game if I'm unable to watch it, but haven't been able to find the station this year.
Unfortunately, I have been able to watch the entire game today and OMG!!! Ouch!!! Have to say, it seems some of our weaknesses have been found...hahaha (insert heavy sarcasm here.)

Oh, p.s...love the photos mikoyan! I'm a native wolverine that was transplanted, and your shots really are a nice look at "home". Nice job.

How sad. Getting sick and tired of looking like crap against any team with a pulse. Thrilling wins over UMass and Indiana are a f'ing joke.

You're welcome. I might even have a couple pictures of Ohio in the mix.....
