How pissed would you be?

According to the AP story linked here, thousands of football fans in a suburb of Los Angeles missed the final minutes of the Super Bowl after some drunk guy crashed into a power pole and caused a power outage for 8,300 customers Sunday.

Apparently, folks in the affected area missed the final two touchdowns in the Giants thrilling victory over the Pats.

Holy shit, how pissed would you be?!

Thankfully for the drunk's own safety, he was arrested at the scene. Which is probaby the best thing that happened to the guy. Better the cops having him than a group of Giants fans who just missed one of the greatest wins in Super Bowl history.

If something like that ever happened during the Michigan-Ohio State, there would be riots (and I mean more than usual in C-bus).

Yes I agree. I am sick as hell and can barely talk but that picture nearly sent me to the hospital. Now I pick myself up and drag myself to my basement to shopvac the horrible flooding that is apparently occurring. "Fucketh Ohio weather" I shout as I battle pneumonia.

On a side note would it not be classic if said drunk who crashed their car into the pole was named Heidi?

Thanks, guys. That pic was the last thing I added and it was making me laugh as I worked on it, but I wasn't sure if it totally fit. Glad others shared my sense of humor on this one.

And lol re: Heidi ref, BAH.

they can't even support an nfl team there - can't imagine they'd be too pissed

It's not that they can't support a football team in LA, it's that the league doesn't want to give them a team. After Chicago was forced to renovate Soldier Field, the league realized it needed a credible threat of a city to move to. I believe that the owners of the Bears said that they would move to Gary if the city didn't give in. I think the city laughed their asses off and then said something to effect of, "Don't let the door hit you on the ass".

Wasn't this a Family Guy episode?

Since this caused me to miss the last 2 drives of the game...Just wanted to clarify...The Brentwood they refer to in that news article is NOT the one in Southern California(that O.J. used to live in). It's Brentwood in the San Francisco Bay Area.

FIGURES I got to watch everything but the BEST part of the game.

just a little correction
it was in the city of brentwood, ca and not LA brentwood. I know because it is in the bay area and walnut creek is about 30 minutes away from there. oh and i live in that area and my power went out. i cant fucking believe i missed the end of that game. excuse my language.
