Keep 'em coming. I know most UMfans cannot get enough of Ufer calls. The greatest homer of all time.
I wish they would have had radio during the Toledo War.
That's some color-commentary I would like to hear!
I cannot believe I'm listening to Ufer and I don't hear General George S. Patton's horn!
Look at the scoreboard 3:57 into the clip. tOSU has 4 time outs left? Also interesting to watch the defenses hurdling players on place kicks -- that's a 15 yard penalty now.
I'm fairly certain those Ufer calls are later studio recordings made as part of archival projects in the 1970's. There were a couple records, and I assume a couple films, of Ufer "calling" the greatest games in Michigan history. Those aren't the same calls I've heard in other archival films with the Ufer radio calls of the '69 game. note how the sound is really clean with minimal over-excitement or crowd noise, as if Ufer knows what's going to happen and the element of surprise is gone.
