Okay, anybody else just love the poem Carr quoted at his press conference yesterday? In case you missed it, it was by Irish poet Pakenham Beatty and went like this...
By your own soul learn to live.
If some men thwart you, take no heed.
If some men hate you, have no care.
Sing your song, dream your dream.
Hope your hope and pray your prayer.
Yes, a special coach, indeed.

We will miss Lloyd Carr
His funny sideline comments
Wolverines, GO BLUE!
agreed, I don't know anyone that can shut bonnie up faster the carr, saturday's sentence finishing almost seemed like bonnie knew she was going to look stupid, so she just started random sentences and carr made her look stupid.
I didn't cry when we lost. I felt disappointment, but no tears. The second he recited this poem the tears welled up. He is not replaceable. Period.
I completely agree...I cried basically through that entire press conference. And I definitely paused the press conference and wrote that poem down as soon as I heard it. What a special man Michigan has just lost. I hope he at least becomes a very integral part of the Athletic Department in much the same way Bo did. Simply having him in the family will keep some of his virtues and integrity intact in the program. Those are the things that I worry about most with a new incoming coach. It's like a new President. You know things could be better, or they could be worse. Either way, though, you know things are going to be different. Like in '08...you may like Bush, you may not like Bush. But either way, you know by now what you're going to get from him, and that at least provides you with some comfort. Come '08, though, it's a whole new ballgame. That's what scares me about this coaching search.

Rudyard Kipling love it "If" I'm not mistaken.
nope, I don't miss carr one bit, he was amazing for a while, but these last four years have shown that he has lost his ability to coach. My friends who are seniors have never seen a win in the final two games of the season... that just sucks. Also, I'm kinda glad hart and henne are gone, maybe next season we'll have a running back who can make it to the endzone when the offensive gets him past the linebackers. I wonder sometimes if a fast running back would have had an automatic two touchdowns a game running behind long and our monster offensive line. anyways, my point is change is good, especially after 4 consecutive bowl losses...
