Well...
We took a shot in the dark and asked the producer we've been in contact with if we could get two tickets to the A2 screening. But not for us. For some lucky MZone reader and a guest. Because if we got them, we were going to give them away in a contest here on the site.
Sadly, we didn't get two tickets...we got a lot more!
The producer put us in touch with someone in marketing who sent us the electronic invite below which, much to our surprise, we were told we could post on the site today! That means waaaay more than two of you can go. The screening will be held Wednesday, November 7th, at the Michigan Theater.
To attend the event, folks must call the RSVP number listed on the invite below. Seating is obviously limited and the seats which are available to our readers will most likely go very quickly. So don't delay.

A VERY big thanks to everyone at HBO who hooked us up. Mucho, mucho appreciated.

Even though I think Bama Vs. Auburn is the best rivalry in college football...I do love the Michigan vs. OSU game. There are few games that define the essence of college football. This game is one of them. Go Blue!
Word on the O-zone from someone who previewed it is that it was excellent and worthwhile. The rest of the country and especially the south, will think it is slow and runs too long. They also think their rivalry could beat our rivalry.
Benny,
don't suppose you could ask them for two tickets to the columbus showing? you know, for your loyal readers south of the border?
i could wear something "Blue" and it might be the first time HBO has beer thrown at a premiere party???
i too would like to attend the event in columbus. doubt i could bean anyone with a full Pabst from 40 feet away, but i'd be willing to try!
lane,
i haven't drank PBR since high school.
sounds like a plan!
ACK! I will be on the West side of the state doing a staff training that night! WAH!!!!!!
katie,
when you get your new dish, sign up for HBO???
I caught the documentary last night down here in Columbus. Pretty good stuff. What Michigan fans will enjoy is the segment on tOSU fans being portrayed as, in the words of the late great Bob Ufer, a bunch of truck-drivers.
Also interesting, but not surprising was how the documentary would talk about Woody's boorish behavior and the tOSU fans would think it was funny.
And oh yes, when Cheaty McSweatervest came on the first time, everybody cheered. Blah.
So did you get any camera time Yost? I'm assuming this is done in the 'Ken Burns' style, with live interviews interspersed with historical pictures and video.
Like Joe, I'm a Southerner who appreciates good football and won't allow some sour apple to tell us what to think. I've already set a reminder to DVR HBO on the 13th.
I will not attend because it is sponsored by Comcast. I hate you, Comcast.
I love the Ohio State-Michigan rivalry but I think the best rivalry out there is Army-Navy
The best rivalry out there is Ginger vs. Mary Ann.
SIC, I am a poor grad student, HBO might be out of my league! Hopefully someone will Tivo it or record it some how, then I can make like I am their friend and come and watch it. ;o) Actually, HBO will probably put it out on a disc then all will be well in the world of Katie.
Katie,
if HBO puts it on disc, look for it to be so overpriced it WILL be out of your league also. I just picked up the last set of Sopranos dvds. The original price is same as all the other ones, whereas there's less than 75% of the content (9 eps instead of 13). I love their programming, but they love making $$$ off of it.
Wouldn't the qualify as a school expense?? ;o)
I'm no tax lawyer, but i'd say "Absolutely!"
Hey Benny,
Any chance you could ask about tix for the NYC premiere?
It would be greatly appreciated for this NYC wolverine and his (sadly) buckeye best friend.
Nel
Nelson,
The NYC screening is tonight and, unfortunately, we have no way of getting tickets for that one.
Nelson and Yost -
According to this website, the NYC screening is November 5th - you just have to register by today. I'm gonna try to make it.
Nelson,
Listen to your Buckeye friend and repent. This may be God's plan to save you from eternal destruction.
Thanks, Mike. My bad. I guess the dates I received awhile back were tentative. As in very tentative.
arr is right - comcast should be banned from doing anything with the big ten after refusing to carry the big ten network and then pretty much spreading lies about the btn all over radio ads.
directv doesn't charge me extra for the btn and my rates didn't go up when they added it, directv just ate the cost. comcast is trying to say that they'll HAVE to charge customers for carrying it.
fuck comcast
i'd hope this site would think about protesting the events. here in chicago you can only see whatever espn and abc feed you if you don't have sat tv.
schwetty....
LOL TOO F'N Funny
ginger v. marianne
I think i'll wait till there is a torrent for it...unless i have comcast (FUCK YOU COMCAST!)
I got a chance to see the NYC premiere (Thanks for the info Mike!!!) and I must said it was incredibly well done! Greatly recommended!
The only thing i noticed is that it kinda doesn't touch on UM in the 80's and 90's. But otherwise, well done
so if i left my name on their "list" message system last week, will i really get in? anything with a list at the door makes me nervous. :P on the other hand, i and everyone i know are too poor to have hbo...
