The main story in the center of the page (which may be off the start-up page by the time you click this) was about how the Jayhawks' weak non-conference schedule of Central Michigan, Southeastern Louisiana, Toledo and Florida Internation had been roundly ridiculed leading up to conference play.
But, on the heels of the 'Hawks' upset win over Kansas State last weekend, KU coach Mark Mangino defended his team's schedule saying it served its purpose in helping his squad build confidence for the start of the Big 12 season.
So, why are we posting about that? Well, the title of this article about the patsies KU feasted on to start its season was "Mangino: Cupcakes served their purpose." Which is bad enough. Because if you've ever seen KU coach Mark Mangino, such a headline can mean soooo many different things. But what had us doubled over with laughter was when we saw - on the supposedly pro-KU paper's site, mind you! - that title was superimposed over the following hyperlinked picture to the story referenced above (a picture we swear to God we didn't alter or Photoshop in any way).

Gee, with friends like these...

When Lloyd does finally step down I think we should hire Mangino so Michigan Replay could set the record for fattest show on TV.
