The clip below is exactly the sort of reason why I wanted to put up the "Circle the Wagons" post above...
Sad, sad, sad.
And saddest of all: the guy's wearing a "World's Greatest Dad" t-shirt as he upsets his daughter. Are you fucking kidding me?!

Oh man. That guy is a fucking douche. Bama had a bad season last year and we lost to Mississippi State. But, at no point did I take my kids' Bama gear and burn it. Someone needs to kick this guy in the nuts...hard.
Agreed! I had to stop the video midway as once I heard the little voice say "OH DAD" I was done.
Where the fuck is the righteous indignation about American citizens without health care? or education? or HIV/AIDS? or Darfur?
I mean, sheez, if folks like this yahoo put half the effort towards REAL problems...maybe they'd be solved??? No one's burning shit over those things and that's what REALLY matters! Ridiculous.....
Democratic rant over.
Back to the blog.....
What??? That's awful! Worst father (and fan) ever!
Even if my daughter was an Ohio State fan (God forbid!), I would not burn her favorite OSU hat while she was crying. That's just not funny. I hate hearing her cry, "Noooo! I like that hat..." It breaks my heart.
And you're absolutely right title9. While it's more than just a game, there are much more important issues in the world. I for one take issue with booster clubs. While they help keep a program going, there are way more important causes to be donating to.
The "nooooo"s in the background sounded coached to me -- I think the whole thing was a bit of play-acting.
That doesn't make it any less ritahdid, though.
Yeah, not so sure about the sincerity of the girl. The same voice is gleefully saying "let's go play on the ..." as it cuts out. Definitely staged. Still a dumb thing to do. You know how much those hats cost?
Well, he did say he was in Northern Michigan...
Not defending this schmuck at all, but I think it was his hat; the daughter just liked it is all. I'm not wasting time to watch/listen to the video again to be sure, so I'll certainly admit I'm wrong if you guys tell me otherwise.
Still, it was an idiot move to do and doesn't rank very far up on the good Dad scale. I had to laugh at the cinderblock firepit. I almost call BS on it being a Michigan fan, but if you guys say this is what upper MI is like, I could be convinced.
You'll notice he said Michigan *fan*
P.S. Amen T9
stupid yoopers
Michigan loses two games and the fans go off the deep end.
yawn...
I don't think the guy is a real Michigander, if he is he's a real panty waist- look the baby is wearing gloves!?!
WTF!! I willing to bet that fire pit was in the back of his doublewide! Nice message for the young ones, quit when things are going your way!
Hoax or not, you don't have your young daughter cry for something completely stupid like this. Kids are precious, and should be treated as such. What a tool. He'll get his day, someday, when he'll look back and wonder what in the world he was doing...
As my form of protest, I will make my daughter cry. What an idiot. It might be time to call CPS.
This man is WORST father ever!!! Anyone that would sacrifice their child's happiness for a GAME is messed up! His shirt should read: World's Biggest Loser!
