Michigan-Penn State Open Thread

In keeping with the reverse blog psychology that worked so well last weekend, I predict that not only will Michigan get smoked but it's going to be so lopsided the refs are going to take away :02 seconds in an effort to both shorten the game and also keep Joe Pa from having a heart attack every time he sees the number he now refers to as "that which falls between 1 and 3."

Prediction (since Benny always makes them in KYF and I get left out):

Michigan - 14, Pennsylvania State University - 24

Ed. Note: Of course, what also worked well last week was playing Notre Dame.

Following my lead from last week...

it's going to be a blood bath. Penn State will chew us apart as if we were declawed kittens!

Mallett will break his throwing arm only after one of his bullett passes hits AA so hard it bursts his appendix. Hart will break an ankle after tripping over Jake head which will result in Jake having a concussion. Manningham and Matthews will run into each other at full force and knock each other out. Johnny Sears will run out from the crowd wearing nothing and tackles Donovan Warren from behind knocking him out. Lloyd Carr will run onto the field and punch Anthony Morelli to remind him how he got knocked out of last years game.

Enough with the mumbo-jumbo. Just take your ass-whippin' like a man.
You know, like that Clausen kid.

How good is Michigan this year? I know the first two weeks were a disaster, but is the talent still there? I was talking to someone yesterday and they were talking about how bad Michigan "stinks" and stuff. I'm just not sure that's true. I think they got caught sleeping against App. St., and then just had "one @#$%" of a hangover against Oregon. I guess we'll find out today. I'm predicting Michigan beats Penn St. pretty easily.

Ok, something is better this week...and you'll be happy to know it. The announcers on ABC during the first Penn State possesion said "we've been here three weeks, and we've said this isn't an intimidating place to play....but it is LOUD today!" Yay for crowd noise...hopefully it lasts the whole game....

And hopefully our boys in blue can wear down the D to actually get some points on the board...that first possesion for us didn't look that great :-/

Special teams...ugh.

any predictions for the 2nd half???

Jim said...

Limped into half time a bit. Missed field goal, freshman mistake on the pick. D looks good, though.

Who's that guy that looks like Carr joking with Bonnie Bernstein at half time?

Joshua said...

No look over the shoulder for LSU's fake field goal? SICK.

Jim said...

Have we gone down the field once? What's happened to Manningham?

Jim said...

Hart's TD looked like that Steven Jackson Nike commercial--the one where he pushes a pack of Steelers to the gola line then reaches in for the score.

Hart's a stud.

You'd think I'd be used to being nervous when we have a lead in the 4th. DAMN. And how did that hottie sneak onto our cheerleading squad? I thought that was against the rules.

Ah the 4th quarter, when Lloyd tries to run down the clock, we only lead by 5, and the opposing team on the final drive of the game marches down and scores for the win.

Just like old times! Last year almost made me forget it...

I was totally prepared for this to happen. I had no less than 3 friends text me about it right after we punted. Thank god we won.

You’re no body till somebody owns you. Ya da da da doody do do...

Well, well, well. Congratulations. Lloyd owns JoePa.
That means sweatervest is at the top of the food chain. See, average ain't so bad.

And what did we learn today?

LSU is tough

The Trojans may not be as tough considering Nebraska’s squeaker today.

Louisville is doing a Michigan.

Michigan and Sparty might be equals when viewing them through the lens of Notre Dame

Notre Dame is…never mind. Just too easy.

tOSU is on the rise. The QB question seems to be answered.

And we still have a slate of games tonight.

I love college football!

Oh, I forgot. Florida looks vulnerable. They should lose two games.

Maize,

I think I love you! GO BLUE!!!

Northwestern 77 - Michigan 75.

Jason Gingell does his gingell thing again in triple overtime.

We should fire him.
