Michigan-Northwestern Open Thread

Why jinx success?

Coming off a victory over now-exposed previously-Top 10 ranked Penn State Michigan - just as they did against Appy State - is primed to take Northwestern too lightly, instead looking ahead to the big showdown next weekend against EMU.

And even though NU has injuries and and their talent level isn't on par with the Wolverines, the mere sight of a team lining up in the spread formation will send the Wolverine defense running toward the bench to curl up in the fetal postion.

RBP (Reverse Blog Psychology) Pick - Michigan - 21, Spreadwestern - 35

FINAL SCORE:

We-Can't-Stop-The-Spread-Michigan - 28, Northwestern - 16

Oh, riiiiight. Now I remember those first two weeks of the season. We're not that good.

Wow. Empty thread. Me thinks you all are getting cocky.

NW will totally confuse the Michigan D as the NW QB starts to shout out Calc equations and Chemistry rxn audibles at the line. Mich D will be stunned into paralysis like Bill Clinton when Hillary drops her panties and tells bill she wants some sexy time with him.

NW wins by 3 TDS.

My eyes! My eyes!

Does this happen while she does that unnerving cackle?

it's now halftime and we're looking pretty rough. Have you seen the shots of our "fans"? If you aren't gonna cheer, keep your butt at home on the couch!!!

Deja vu, all over again. If you line up 11 guys on crutches in the spread option, you can move the ball on our defense. If you can watch game film of our last game, you can predict our offense.

Different Saturday, same coaching staff.

BTW- tosu led these guys 28-0 @ the end of 1st quarter.

Ugh. "Special" teams.

Jim,
Hard to believe Gingell is the best kicker we have...

Anyone else surprised by the pass play on 3rd and 6 with 3 and a half to go? Good for you Lloyd.

P.S. Love the CSTV Gametracker. If they'd add radio play-by-play, I'd be in heaven.

Well, we gave up a bunch of yards, but forced 5 turnovers when we needed them. Nice to see Mario get back on track. Probably should have dominated a team that lost to Duke, but maybe we can't be too picky this year. Win's a win.

Nice job, Blue.

Thanx Maize for that image, now I need to scrub my memory with acid. Other wise, good work the rest of ya. Go Blue.

u got the scores inverted.

You should predict a bigger loss for Michigan.

I think the best part of todays game was not hearing Appalachian State mentioned - at least on the big ten network.

Having WATCHED the game on BTN I can PROMISE you Michigan moved the ball with ease with Henne in charge. With Mallett at the helm we struggled. Mallett got some work, the mo shifted after the half then believe it or not the Defense made all the plays when they had to. Time to learn more next week vs EMU. Henne really made good decisions and aside from overthrowing a WIDE OPEN Arrington at the goal line in the 4th this game wasn't that close.

Learn to defend the fucking spread offense already!!!!!

I didn't get to see or hear any of the play by play, but by the quarter by quarter score........ouch in the first half! It appears by the second half scoring that we came back a different team. So Henne played some and Mallett played some I gather...........Maize my Darling..........PLEASE don't use Hillary in such graphic images EVER again.........I will never ever be the same after that one.

if you ask me this game was more pathetic than the App St game. I don't care if we won, this was downright pathetic.

Yost, I am thankful that NW does not have a mobile qb...the BW3 in GR was dead in the first half...I know, I know, we lost a 3rd guard on the right side of the offensive line, but cant a team like Michigan have someone who can fill in? Beyonce must be calling our plays, you know "to the left, to the left...all I saw was Hart to the left" ok, old news...I used that last week, but this is getting more predictible than the sun rising every morning...

Florida lost. Ahhh. Things are right in the world again. Ha, that punk Meyer had to watch the ball sail through the uprights...twice!!

Hey, you guys won. Take it. A "W" is a "W".

Man, what is Michigan gunna do when we get to the tough part of the Big Ten schedule??? It's gunna be a long winter!

This will take you to some links about the ineligible player.

Before buckstache gloats... this is a B10 violation NOT a NCAA violation.

Do I really need more info regarding my fire Martin chants???
