Now that's funny!

I blame all this on OJ... before him, the justice system had to prove you were guilty. OJ was found innocent (even though a lot of things were not in his favor), so now... when any high-profile athlete or celebrity is on trial, he's automatically guilty of what was alleged.

I don't want to be accused of any crime in this day and age, because people automatically will think you did it and my reputation will be tainted!

Stephen... a couple of years ago I got into an accident where some lady, from the left, ran me off the right hand side of the road and into a ditch. Let's just say when she started lying to the cop about the accident, my patience started wearing thin and I used some colorful language. 5 weeks later a cop is at my door serving me a traffic summons because my cussing caused this person to "fear for her life." (Prior to this the worst thing ever happening to me is a parking ticket in A2)

So I go to the pre-trial conference and find out that public cussing or obscene gesturing, even once, is punishable by 12 months in jail and $1,000 fine.

Of course, everything came out in my favor in the end; but I still had a lot of explaining to do to professional folks and it cost me $3,000 in attorney's fees and a lot of wasted time.

You're darn right you don't ever want to be accused of anything... and there is no such thing as innocence these days either (celebrity or not). I was exonerated... but I imagine in some deep dark corner of some file cabinet, there's paperwork with my name on it. AND the lady was never questioned about her false claims.
