Where is the common sense here?

Folks, this has nothing to do with college football but, after seeing the pictures below and reading the linked story, I'm still shaking my head.

While out for a medical appointment, the prison inmate shown in these photos stole the gun of a corrections officer and killed him. He then carjacked an SUV, leading police on a high-speed chase before being captured at a fast-food restaurant.

And it only ended there when, after firing a shot at the Arby's where he was finally arrested, a customer in the restaurant somehow managed to grab the gun from him.

Now, what really gets me about this story is that it all started after the inmate had been taken to the University of Utah medical center where he was "awaiting an MRI for back pain."

Uh, are you fucking kidding me?! What the hell was this this guy doing at the local hospital's examination room with only one 60 year old guard assigned to him?! He should have been strapped to a dolly with a cage over his face ala Hannibal Lecter, deep in the bowels of some prison's medical facility - not at the community orthopedic center!

Yeah, Yeah, I know one shouldn't judge a book by its cover but would you look at this guy's "cover?!"

Unfortunately, such stupidity cost somebody their life. And it could have been much, much worse.

Before the days that everybody carried a video camera phone or a camcorder in their glovebox, this guy would deservedly have had an accident while in police custody and not made it back to the station alive.
A real piece of shit that unfortunately won't be give nthe death sentence, but instead spend the rest of his life on tax dollars while spreading his hate.
I hope his future prison guards mysteriously "find him dead" in his cell. Too bad the head guard at Shawshank doesn't work there.

I've actually seen that guy on TV before. I forget what is was for .. maybe Gangs in jail or something of the nature. I'm pretty sure he's already in prison for life for rape, murder, etc, and has a history of violence while incarcerated. That really sucks.

I always find guys with swastikas tattooed between their eyes and Hitler portraits on their chest to be the sweetest, most docile creatures.

Who would think that one's permanent devotion to a purely evil and genocidal man could reveal a psychotic and violent personality?

Go figure...

i saw him just the other day on drudgereport. and he can spread all the hate he wants, because of the 1st amendment. Will the ACLU defend him? Probably. Though they are busy defending terrorists instead.

Too bad all this did not happen in Texas... he would be fairly tried, convicted, sentanced to death, and put out of his misery before you could count to 10.

Those glasses make him look smart.

No such thing as common sense... if sense were so "common", everyone would have it.

Is that a tattooed buckstash?

I too am all for frying the bastard. Sadly though the do-gooders who run our justice system will paint a sympathetic picture of him suffering from all of life's troubles and he will probably be spared.

Holy lost opportunity, batman! With that red shirt, the Photoshop possibilities were staring you right in the face. But I guess turning it into an Ohio State sweat would have obscured the Hitler 'too.
