MZone reader Brian sent us the YouTube link for the 1986 music video below about the Glasgow Diamonds American Football team in Scotland. Called 'Diamond Rap,' it was voted best football music video by CBS Television and screened during CBS's Superbowl broadcast in 1987.
Folks, words simply can't do this justice. You must see to believe...
Ok, now try and get the damn song out of your head the rest of the day. C'mon, sing it with me...
"We are the Diamonds. We come from Glasgow. We're here to play football."
P.S. If this video was voted best football video, how ass awful are the ones that didn't win?! Sweet Jesus!
(Ed. Note: Also noticed via YouTube that WithLeather did a post on this last week which is probably how it's been unleashed on a grateful public)

Just damn.
I mean it's kind of like the early 90's Bjork's video where she rides around downtiwn (Manhattan?) signing in a flatbed singing. Too bad Beavis and Butthead are watching the Glasgow video providing excellent commentary like they did the Bjork video.
ofc singing = signing in effed up OOC vernacular.
Wow. Amazing anyone procreates in Scotland. Also...pianist footballers RULE!!
Hhahaa yeah I think I saw this on fanhouse or something and I could not get it out of my head for the life of me...utterly ridiculous.
I don't remember the Village People having a football player in the group...
