This story is just mind boggling for its sadness, brutality and bizarreness:
A 24-year-old man shot and wounded one person then killed another while stealing their cars in order to go watch his brother's spring scrimmage at South Carolina.
Police say Demetrius M. Pepper, brother of South Carolina junior lineman Nathan Pepper, shot the first victim to steal a car outside a convenience store and, when it broke down, fatally shot a 60-year-old woman in the face to steal her car. He was arrested outside Williams-Brice Stadium Saturday where the Gamecocks were having their spring scrimmage
Pepper was charged with murder in one county and assault and battery with intent to kill and possession of a weapon during a violent crime in another.

Don't think that mofo had any intention of shaking his keys at the scrimmage game. Fans mean business down here it seems.
You know, getting a mention on a Michigan blog can only raise South Carolina's stature, right? Right?
Mindless tragedy.
Drew Sharp says that Michigan Fans will never show this form of dedication.
SEC Football: It's not just a lifestyle, it's a life sentence.
All of that for a 104 mile/1 hour 30 minute trip to a sping game? A SPRING GAME!!! Actually not a game but practice. Not a game, not a game, not a game, but practice. It makes you wonder what he would've been willing to do to get to the Cocks/Clemson game. I sure hope he's being someone's bitch for the rest of his life. Enjoy tossing salads, motherfucker.
I'm gonna need a rebuttal or a comment on this...

to Mike P...AMEN. I am a Gamecock fan this is an absolute senseless horrible tragedy. I hope he rots in jail.
Erik - see the February 2007 archive here on MZone.
Were you the same Erik that got in an argument about the lack of speed in the SEC for linemen on EDSBS a few weeks ago?
ah, thanks. Didn't know it was old news. Just pulled it up on deadspin yesterday.
OOC, I could be. If my name links to deepsouthsports.net, more than likely, that's me.
What post?
Erik - It was the post of sports people you'd like to punch in the face. Someone the "Erik" there and a couple others started to get into a pissing contest over linemen speed conference vs. conference. Someome pulled out the Combine results for lineman, somoene said, see I told you X conference was faster...etc.
That should have said, "Someone, the "Erik there, and a couple others..."
As you would say, my grammar is redonkulous.
