According to various news reports, officials in Columbus aren't taking any chance with their new and improved fans whom OSU President Karen Holbrook heaped praise upon after only minor rioting following last year's Michigan game.
According to the AP, the city will ban parking, empty trash bins and place undercover police officers in neighborhoods around the university to dissuade rowdy fan behavior after Monday's big game. Portable lights will be installed on street corners and alleys to make it easier for officers to monitor street activity.
Yes, as OSU President Karen Holbrook said, fan behavior has indeed turned a corner in Columbus...with a little help from undercover cops, local SWAT teams and the National Guard.
