Two Minute Drill

* Fiju's Third Annual Rival Run Against Cancer is coming up next week. Pitting fraternity members from Michigan and OSU "against" one another, the groups raise money to fight the dreaded disease by running the official game ball from A2 to Columbus.

This is one M-OSU clash where there are no losers. So click on the link above to find out how to donate to the school of your choice.

(HT: T9)

* Been meaning to put up something on this since reader scoat sent it to us. Apparently some folks at Purdue are less than pleased with the inflatable objects "popping up" at Ross-Ade Stadium...

* Jimmy Swaggart, Jim Bakker...Jim Tressell? (HT: MB)

* Big(gest) Man on Campus - Charlie Weis on 60 MINUTES. Even more shocking? Halfway thorugh the story, they show the ND students at the Purdue game and...turns out they're key janglers, too! (HT: Ori)

* Looks like Heath Shuler had the best day of any Vol yesterday as the former UT QB won his congressional race in North Carolina.

* Sad news out of Miami -- 'Cane defensive lineman Bryan Pata was shot and killed yesterday at his apartment complex, just two hours after practice had ended. (HT: PJM)

* Finally, Matt sends us a little gallows Meeechigan humor. Watching the Ball State game and the, uh, less than stellar play in the second half by the second string, Matt's buddy said he was sick of watching Michigan's DBs chasing Ball State receivers around like "girls chasing boys on the playground." To illustrate the point, he sent us the following picture his friend made...

Though Tressel was wearing his traditional scarlet sweater vest, he said he wanted to step away from his role of coach and speak "as a child of God.... and that he hoped everyone can remain calm on November 18th, just in case we lose..."

"God loves Michigan too... just in a different way..."

If you can watch a video of the OSU/Illinois game, you can see them using the whole keys thing on kickoffs.

Man, I went to the MSU game with my little cousin (she is like 7 or 8) and they had that big inflatable dick in the student section. The guy in front of me pointed it out to his friend (we were directly opposite the student section) and my cousin overheard and then continued to ask me for 20 mins what it was while everyone around us was laughing.

"Watch the game, Elizabeth. Watch the game. I don't know. Watch the game. It's a big balloon. It doesn't matter. Watch the game."

At graduation last year, I commented to a family member of a graduate that it would be funny if the graduates broke out the inflatable thing as they have done in football games...but it was unlikely...then shortly thereafter it appeared.

Of course the parents' comments were hilarious..."good to know they learned a lot," etc.

That pic of the little girl chasing the little boy with captions is hilarious.

Funny, but it would have been better if it was after the Notre Dame game and 86 was Mario, and the two girls were ND players

Read the whole story about Mr. Sweater vest and GOD.......

Near the end they talk about a 16 year old boy named "John Cooper" who the hell in Ohio would name their kid that?.........

Someone is going to burn in hell!

I thought I was bad for naming my daughter Julianne Arbor.......:)

ummm 16 years ago, the name John Cooper didn't have much stigma. that would be like complaining that some michigan fan named their kid Larry Harrison Jr. 5 years ago

16 years ago John Cooper was already 0-3 vs MICHIGAN.........

I guess those parents thought things would change........

best inflatable ever at a game???
Can't remember the year, but someone in the student section dressed an inflatable doll in Michigan regalia and then "passed her up" after a touchdown.
The person at the top of the bowl shook her around... and over the side she went to the cheer of the crowd yelling "O-ver! O-ver! O-ver!"
hysterical.
