With the advent of hundreds of channels, multiple games on at the same time, the Internet, TiVo, DVDs and video games, the major networks don't often get ratings that are comparable to what they used to see 15 or more years ago. But the Michigan-Ohio State game on Saturday was an exception.According to figures from Nielsen Media Research, the game on ABC was the highest rated regular season college football game since the Florida State-Notre Dame game on November 13, 1993. Saturday's game drew a 13.4 rating, which translates to 21.77 million viewers.
In that 1993 game, #2 Notre Dame beat #1 Florida State, 31-24. Despite the defeat, the Seminoles went on to win the National Championship. I'm just sayin'...
