Actor Patrick Stewart (Star Trek, X-Men), in A2 with the Royal Shakespeare Company at the Power Center, led the Michigan band at during halftime of the Wolverines' game Saturday against Ball State. Near the end of his roll as conductor, he threw out a nice little quote that has dual meaning for U-M as it heads toward its showdown in Columbus on the 18th.
Thanks to Evan for the video!

Call me a dork but when he delivered that message it gave the chills. I'm a broke grad student (at the Univ. of Texas no less). I was able to afford going to see Michigan in San Antonio last year (and that turned out to be a bad idea). This year, the only thing I want for Christmas is 2 tickets to see my team in Glendale. Come on Santa...deliver!
By the 4th Quarter of the Ohio State game, Starfleet Dr. McCoy will say to Jim Tressel:
"It's dead, Jim."
space bitches. . . and mutants.
Michigan-tOSU marching band tit-for-tat. Recall that Nicklaus dotted the "i" last week. This shit is like the Cold War: the Russians send a man in space, the US counters by sending a man to the moon.
LOL, Weiler.
Wow! Patrick Stewart! Congratulations!
I guess Doogie Houser was unavailable.
Losers (although I like your blog, it's great).
Go Bucks!
*yawn*
I'm embarassed to say I got a charge out of that
hmmm
WHY is Patrick Stewart in town to lead the band????
Well, the Royal Shakespeare Company has chosen Ann Arbor yet again for a 2 week residence that includes public lectures, educational performances, and plain old great theatre, in which PS performs in Antony and Cleopatra as well as The Tempest.
Guess John Stewart had all the good venues in C-bus booked, no???
To Boldly...
GO BLUE
Seems appropriate. Michigan fans...star trek conventions...
Look out, it's a Klingon!!
