MZone to host LIVE Internet broadcast... and you're invited to PARTICIPATE

Dear MZone reader,

Due to our secret connections with the Trilateral Commission, bribery skills and the possession of naked scuba diving pictures of the founder, the MZone has been invited to host a live Internet broadcast called College Football America on a new multi-media website next Tuesday, October 17th from 8-10pm EST (5-7pm PST).

The site is called NowInLA (www.Nowinla.com) and, in a nutshell, I guess the best way to describe it is sort of YouTube meets MySpace meets radio. That's because, unlike a podcast or stream of regular radio broadcast, not only is the show live but you, the listener/viewer can participate by texting (with the hosts and everybody else tuning in), calling in and uploading vidoes and/or pictures from your cellphone to be seen by all while we're live on the 'Net. Thus, you can become part of the show and contribute content.

Also, in addition to Benny and I from the MZone, we hope to have the some of the folks behind a couple of the other top college football sites on the show.

So, if you want to just listen and watch, that's fine. But if you want to be part of the show, here's what you need to do:

1) Go to www.NowInLA.com and register (it's free) so you can IM and upload pictures/videos during the broadcast.
2) Wait anxiously for Tuesday to roll around so you can laugh at how many mistakes we make on our first show.

Finally, if you're going to a college football game this weekend, please take pictures and/or video with your cellphone or camera to share. Not only will this allow the folks behind the site to fully test it out, but if we get enough good stuff, we can have live segments such as Best Tailgate, Hottest Co-eds, etc.

UPDATE: When you register, the site currently asks for a cellphone number to complete the registration. This is so that we, the hosts, can put you live on the air with a click of a button and so folks can upload pics/videos live as well. However, if you don't want to be on the air but still want to IM with us and our audience during the show, you can put in the ol' 555-5555 "movie" phone number in the space to complete the registration.
