Tom Sabel of suburban Chicago was mowing his lawn when he heard The Voice: "What the fuck is that idiot doing to his damn lawn?!"
Ok, so maybe that's not exactly what he heard but one of his neighbors was surely thinking it when Sabel, without measurements or a template, suddenly set his lawn mower blade to its lowest level and starting carving out the Notre Dame logo in his back yard.
No word yet if the ghost of Knute Rockne is appearing from under his trampoline to play games with other dead Irish legends on his lawn.

not sure about knute, but I think I see a triple-cheeseburger tree and a jelly donut magnolia sprouting out of one of the beds
"I said to myself, 'I know the logo, I can do this.'"
You would think this guy was preparing to climb the Khumbu Icefall at Mt. Everest. Serious dork.
Props to anyone that can work "Khumba Icefall" in a college football conversation.
As I live in suburban Chicago also, I'll send my dog over to his place after a big dinner.
