Somewhere Woody Hayes is rolling over in his grave

So I was just about to hit the sack. I'd already put up the four posts below this one and was ready to call it a night. My work was done here.

But for some reason, the blogging gods compelled me to go to YouTube where I somehow found the "rap" video below. It's a touching ode to Columbus and Ohio State that makes one think, "You know, maybe Vanilla Ice wasn't so bad." Behold...

Yes, I now think I know where Maurice Clarett was heading with all those guns.

That was so bad I don't know whether I should cry or cackle with glee. I am choosing the glee.

is that a BUCKSTACHE I see on Snooz?????

Kevin said...

I was surprised not to hear a F*** Michigan drop in the song.

Kevin said...

Dammit. I am so mad at myself. I actually referred to that attrocity as a song.

Never mind the crimes committed by all the buckstaches, Maurice Clarett, and everything else. This garbage makes me truly ashamed to be a buckeye

It is things of that nature that make me happy to have gone to a Div. 1-AA school for my undergrad and to have had the movie Necessary Roughness filmed at my current school. Sad, truly sad.

I can't decide if YouTube is the greatest thing society has ever seen, or if it will be the catalyst for the apocalypse.

This video makes me think option #2.

That was a goddamned train-wreck of a video.

Btw - the streets seemed damn empty in most of the video: did they film it at 6 AM on a sunday on the longest day of the year???? WTF where are all the people and cars.

BTW - i havent seen that much mall in a video since some of Tiffany's fine 80s videos.

1) The video actually had great production values. It was well filmed and well edited.

2) I want to stab my eyes and ears with shards of glass after witnessing that.

FYI guys those same guys did one for I think its Texas A&M. No joke

Utterly amazing! White rappers and cornhole! Moon walking! That video had it all except talent.

Anonymous said...

That was hilarious. At least it was clean. It was well shot at least.

Go Buckeyes!!

Actually, compared to the Texas Tech rap video from about 4 weeks ago, this is certainly a cleaner production.

On the downside, if folks produce a song about how great it is to live in Franklin County Ohio there is no end to the coal-mining towns, boroughs, dumps and cow pastures for which songs could be written & sung by little-talented middle aged white guys who rap.

That video needs more cowbell to be taken seriously.

Mo Clarett - do you have any of that vodka left? I would really like to mainline the rest of it after watching that abortion.

Eeeew. That guys is 25 if he is a day....somehow I get the idea that he rides one of those little trick bikes, has a CalvinPeeing sticker on his car (if he has a car, that is...which would be a tricked out '94 corolla with cheap alloy rims and a Playboy air freshener....his mom made him take the panties he stole at the laundromat off the rear-view mirror). He spends a lot of time in the mall that he is so clearly fond of, where he does his 'rap routine' and robot dance to impress all the (14 year old) Franklin lay-deez/ho's.

Can't you just see him walking around with his pants around his knees saying to any/every female that walks by 'yo braby..you gwanna be mwa byatch!' and breaking off a little 'robotics' just so she knows he means 'bidness'.

Without question he lives/rolls in Franklin (BTW...who the hell does a rap about a COUNTY?), but what he neglects to mention is that he has just moved into that bachelor pad above his parent's garage and is now free to watch as much MTV as he wants without them interfering....unless they make good on their threat to cut off his cable if he doesn't get a job.

And could he possbily BE any more cliche! Hmmmm.....where have I seen this before; a dumb-ass, suburban milquetoast trying to imitate every stock angry-black-rapper move he can think of while extolling the virtues of some backwater/jerkwater 'area' (county?)...all this on top of some lame-ass beat/drum machine with a dumbass hook about his posse or 'hood.

I think they should call themselves actually be Arrested Development, as it is a much more apt description.

Now I am confused...I know I saw that guy on tv at a NASCAR race last weekend when I was flipping thru channels? Except he was wearing his NASCAR gear and cowboy hat. He must be looking to have a friend.

I can't believe I watched the entire thing....

"My eyes! My ears!"

I love that some of the video highlights include Macy's, Church's Chicken, and the AEP power company building. (LMFAO)

Yeah, let's rap about a state that has three of the top twenty poorest cities in the country. People are fleeing AH-HI-YA (as folks from the southern part call it) as fast as they can.

If the U.S. ever needs an enema they can stick the hose in 'Frank--lin Coun--taayyy'.

farris said...

This blows, but what always makes me giggle is the "Welcome to Buckeye City" done by DJ Scratch 'N Sniff. Horrible name, but could actually be confused with someone trying to make a real song, unlike this clown.

Anonymous said...

Why's he wearing his hat to bed?

Anonymous said...

That was actually pretty good. This is what real hip hop is all about. I dont get why no one else here likes it.

CountryCous said...

I have to admit I learned something. All this time I thought it was simply called "Satan's @sshole" but it's actually called Franklin County.

"White Choclate" said...

My man would get some street credibility if he had a real hard ass in his video. Where is Mo Clarrett and his guns?

This cant be a true "gangsta" video without a real criminal.... put Clarrett in the game coach(Snooz).

Anonymous said...

good gravy, that HAD to be a parody right? PLEASE tell me it was a parody... please... God... please...

well, at least they can spell "O-H-I-O"...

Anonymous said...

fuck you yost. i want 5 minutes of my live back. you magnificant bastard.

Yost said...

LOL, Anon.

Sorry, but you can't unring a bell, eh?

Anonymous said...

ha i was laughing my ass off until halfway through the video when i found out that these guys were serious then i laughed even harder

Anonymous said...

That's embarrassing. If I see him walking around downtown I'm going to kick his ass for disgracing Columbus the way he did. That bastard. He should move to Ann Arbor.

buckeye j diddy said...
