Nomination for your co-ed pool - the SIU cheerleader who fell off the pyramid yesterday! There was something very Mary Catherine Gallagher about her continuing to cheer on the stretcher.

I just posted a draft of a photo of her being taking off the court.
The story has a sort of Jason McElwain feel to it. Cheerleader falls 15 feet, headfirst to the hardwood chipping a vertebrae in her neck and then does the arm motions of a cheer as she's rolled off the court on a backboard and in a neckbrace. If nothing else, it's a nice way to let loved ones know you haven't been paralyzed.
I also think the shot of Alabama wideout, Tyrone Prothro on the gurney after his horrific leg break is fairly inspiring too.
