A 15 year old high school student in Virginia recited 8,784 digits of Pi - the non-repeating, non-terminating decimal - in an attempt to set a new "pi" record in the U.S. and North America. His parents promised him an Xbox 360 if he reached his goal.
Next month he's going to try for an even bigger personal record and will attempt to kiss a girl.

I don't know...between the new X-Box and all the other mathematical equation recitation he hasn't even tried yet, it seems like G-Raj won't have much time for the ladies.
How does that set a record? Unless its by a US citizen. That british guy with the partial autism recited nearly 20,000 digits of pi over 15 hours here. He could have kept going also except for the time. This little 15 year old wasn't doing anything special but memorization of the number, not the actual calculation in his head on the spot.
Holy f'ing cow, I don't know what comes after 3.14.
call me a nerd but I remember a bit more...I think it's 3.14157...
