For those of you who only enjoy the college game and don't pay much attention to the NFL - Yost, I'm looking at you - there's a big game this Sunday. It's called the Super Bowl, and despite what pop culture will tell you, it's true purpose is to determine the champion of the professional football world.
This year's game pits the Steelers of Pittsburgh against the Seattle Seahawks. As a service to our M Zone readers, well, actually just the Michigan fans among our readers, we will advise you on who to root for - assuming you have no allegiance to or money on either team.
Cheer for Pittsburgh. Is it because of the beaten to death story of Jerome Bettis returning to Detroit? Yeah, right, he's a Domer. Nope it's because the Steelers have two former Wolverines on their roster (LB Larry Foote and TE Jerame Tuman) and the Seahawks only have one (OL Steve Hutchinson). This system has also picked the winner three of the previous four Super Bowls, though that was just because we were aligned with Tom Brady. I figure it'll be an easy choice next year, too, when John Navarre leads Arizona to the big game.
