(from M Zone wire reports) Scottsdale, AZ - San Francisco Giants slugger Barry
Bonds announced that the 2006 baseball season will be his last. Just 48 home runs shy of breaking Hank Aaron's all-time record, Bonds said that he will retire after the upcoming season whether he breaks the mark or not saying, "The game (isn't fun anymore)."
Apparently Bonds discovered the game was much harder, and thus less fun, when he had to start playing by the rules like everybody else. For years Bonds has been dogged by rumors of
alleged steroid use. But, as these pictures show, such allegations couldn't possibly be true.

LOL, I love those two pictures. I need to get a poster of those on my wall so I can still have dreams of going to U of M post-graduate and playing as a linebacker vs. the punter form I'm currently maintaining.
Sorry WG, I don't know too many specialists (except maybe for UM's place kicker) that can do a pregnant-belly impression quite as well as you. Good lukc on that steroid thing though, just make sure you don't put a Katzenmoyer barbed-wire tatoo around your soon-to-be-bulging biceps now, ya hear?
Jerk! How dare you mock my illegitimate child!
I grew up a baseball fan (I was going to Braves games years before I was going to Bulldog games), but I was one of the fans who didn't come back after the 1994 strike, for which I still have not forgiven M.L.B.
If Barry Bonds breaks Hank Aaron's record, the entire baseball record book needs to be blotted out by the biggest asterisk in history.
The instant Bonds's 756th home run clears the wall, baseball officially ceases to be the national pastime and any American who continues to follow the sport ought to be ashamed of himself.
Couldn't agree more, K2.
Kyle, I was a huge baseball fan in the late '70s and through the '80s. But now it's a joke. Even if Bonds doesn't get to 755, the records of the recent HR hitters should be tossed out. McGwire, Sosa, Bonds - they're all imposters. MLB had to know what was going on, but they ignored it since it was drawing fans. And the media never said a peep.
Sorry Yost for turning this into MLBZone. I know how you love baseball.
Love it. It's right up there w/ curling in my book.
Yeah, Barry, those aches and pains take a lot longer to go away when you're not on the juice. Just hope you don't end up with bitch-tits like Bob.
