The furor still hasn't died down yet over the officiating at the Alamo Bowl. First, there was this article on ESPN.com and, even more telling, the Alamo Bowl itself put out a press release about it.
Also, just read that the Alamo Bowl was the officiating crew's first ever with instant replay. Gee, could hardly tell.
